Excursion to CERRO GORDO.

This protected natural area extends along the Mediterranean coast with a spectacular view over the mountains and the sea, where you can experience the Mediterranean flora and fauna at its best. This area is also the natural habitat for the Iberian goat CABRA MONTÉS that you with some luck will be able to meet and see! This goat is to be found in this area as well as in the SIERRA NEVADA Mountains where they live at about 2500-3000m. above sea level. Eventually you can also meet the wild boars here in Cerro Gordo that usually takes a “siesta” during the hottest hours of the day.

We arrive and start out next to the Mirador de Cerro Gordo Restaurant where a walking tour of about 1.5   hours is awaiting us. The area can be steep at some parts so be beware!
This is a ½ day picnic excursion so don´t forget your sandwich so that we can eat together and contemplate this beautiful area!





Along the Southside of the Sierra Nevada Mountains you find the mountainous area of LAS ALPUJARRAS.
The name is Arabic and means grassland. The area has small towns and villages and one of the most known is LANJARÓN with its mineral water and thermal baths. Then we have TREVELEZ where the regions famous Serrano ham is dried at 1.476 m. above sea level!


Pampaneira, Bubión and Capileira is the most famous tourist villages, with their nice white houses and peculiar chimneys. This full day walking tour excursion starts at the village of Capileira at at 1,500m. above sea level and bring us down to the village of Bubión. The walk is about 1.5 km. long and very easy.  We proceed then after to Pampaneira where we end our walk by having a nice lunch at one of Pampaneiras Restaurants and do some shopping! Excursion to the “Junction of the rivers”- Otivar.

The area is locally called “The Junction of the Rivers” and is situated about 45min. away from Almuñécar by car along the tropical valley.
Here you can experience a beautiful mixture of nature, rivers, waterfalls and natural cristalblue pools and of course fantastic views!
The name refers to the junction of two rivers - Rio Verde and Rio Negro that meets at a certain point and creates this spectacular and natural phenomenon.
We arrive at the gate and start our walk down to the rivers which will take more than 2 hours for a one way trip.

This walking tour can be quite difficult with steep parts at times, so percussion is necessary but worth the effort!
This is a full day picnic tour so don’t forget apart from sandwiches  to bring  with you good shoes, a trekking stick and a bathing suit!

Excursion to 3 mountain villages and a visit to a Bodega (wine factory).

We will during a very nice and exciting excursion visit 3 small villages in the Tropical Valley, just about 40 min. from the town of Almuñécar. These villages are situated about 500 meters above sealevel.

During our visit, we will also stop for a nice “Tapas” before we continue to a Bodega (wine factory) which produces one of Spain’s and Europe’s best wines! Here we will be guided through the whole winemaking  process and after there is a nice winetasting waiting for us!  This is a ½ day excursion.   CONTACT US FOR DETAILS!

The caves of Nerja were discovered in 1959 by 5 young boys that squeezed through a narrow opening at the bottom of a small hollow known as La Mina to capture bats. They where able to get out from there and told the authority about what they found.

Since 1960 the caves have been open to the public and have been visited by hundreds of thousands. In 1961 the caves were declared an Artistic Historic Monument.

The caves of Nerja is situated about 4 km. from the the town of Nerja on the southern slope of the Sierra Almijara. Come and experience this fantastic cave with it´s stalactite and stalagmite formations created for about 250 million years ago!

FRIGILIANA is just 15min. from the caves and it´s a small little mountain village with about 3000 inhab. Here you can stroll through it´s narrow streets and roads or just enjoy it´s beautiful view! There is plenty of handicraft shops or why not try out some of their food specialities!

The town of NERJA is just 10 min. from the caves. A nice little town with about 22.000 inhab. It was from the beginning a small fishermans village, that got famous all over Spain and after to the international public through a childrens tv-serie called “EL VERANO AZUL” (blue summer).

Nerja has a interesting history from the roman and the arabic period, to the invasion of Napoleon and his troups and their industrial development with sugarcane, wine, silk and paper factories besides agriculture.

The aqueduct del Aquila is a masterpiece of Roman architecture that transported water to the sugarcanefactory San Joaquin.

The town with it´s small narrow and picturesque streets have plenty of restaurants and shops. Don´t forget to visit the main square - viewpoint “El Balcón de Europa”.

Before concluding our visit to these nice places we will have lunch at one of the best fishrestaurants in Nerja! (Optional)
